Description
The 250g Single Origin Raw Honey is the everyday jar. The format for morning routines, kitchen cupboards, and for those encountering the Southwest Australia Biodiversity Hotspot for the first time — without the commitment to a single varietal. Unrepeatable by design.
From One Forest
There is a forest in Western Australia that most of the world has not heard of. It sits within the Southwest Australia Biodiversity Hotspot — home to 12,000 wildflower species, 75% of which are found nowhere else on earth. Single Origin Raw Australian Honey is drawn entirely from this region. Unblended, unprocessed, cold-extracted. One source. One season. One jar at a time.
What Makes This Honey Different
Most raw honey is blended across multiple regions and seasons to achieve consistency. Australian Wildflower does the opposite. Each batch of Single Origin Raw Honey is drawn from a single harvest within one biogeographic region. Because the floral source varies naturally with each season, no two batches are identical — and each is independently tested to document exactly what that season produced.
Current Batch Profile
- Total Activity: TA 15.0 phenol equivalence
- Antioxidant Activity: 325 mg AAE/kg
- Dominant Floral Source: Corymbia calophylla (Marri) with seasonal wildflower contribution
- Retains: Active enzymes, natural prebiotics, probiotics, and antioxidants
- Glyphosate: Screened and below detection threshold
The forest produced it. The laboratory confirmed it. We published both.
Tasting Notes and Uses
Flavour varies naturally by season and floral source — each jar is a one-of-a-kind harvest. Generally medium-bodied, mild, slightly floral with natural sweetness and no artificial aftertaste. Lighter in complexity than the bioactive Jarrah and Dwutta varieties; more versatile in the kitchen. Pairs with yoghurt, granola, camembert, roasted stone fruits, herbal teas, and warm breads. Used as a natural sweetener that does not taste industrial.
Origin and Production
Sourced from the Southwest Australia Biodiversity Hotspot, Western Australia. Western Australia’s bee population is free of the diseases found in virtually every other bee population on earth — a fact that is reflected in the laboratory results. Cold-extracted, unfiltered, unpasteurised. Halal practices observed throughout production.
Why Choose This Honey
Single Origin Raw Australian Honey is the everyday expression of the Australian Wildflower standard: provenance-first, evidence-led, fully transparent. The same testing rigour applied to the bioactive range is applied here. The batch number on your jar leads to a downloadable Independent Testing Summary. If you want the original signed laboratory reports, they are available on request.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Single Origin Raw Honey the same as regular raw honey?
Raw honey broadly refers to honey that has not been pasteurised or fine-filtered. Australian Wildflower’s Single Origin Raw Honey goes further: it is drawn from a single biogeographic region, never blended with honey from other sources, cold-extracted to preserve the natural enzyme profile, and independently tested by ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratories. Most commercial raw honey cannot make all of these claims simultaneously.
Why does the flavour vary between batches?
Because the honey is unblended and single-origin, the natural variation in the florals that bloom across a given season is captured directly in the jar. This is intentional. Each harvest is unrepeatable — and each jar reflects what the forest produced that season. The batch number and Independent Testing Summary tell you exactly what that was.
How does this differ from the Jarrah and Dwutta honeys?
Jarrah and Dwutta honeys are monofloral — produced predominantly from a single tree species (Eucalyptus marginata and Eucalyptus todtiana respectively) and independently verified for botanical purity. Single Origin Raw Honey is a seasonal harvest from the same biogeographic region, with a naturally varying floral composition. Its bioactive profile is measurably different — and that difference is documented per batch.
Storage
Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight. Do not refrigerate. Crystallisation is natural and expected — raw honey without additives will crystallise over time. To restore liquid consistency, place the sealed jar in warm water. Do not microwave.
